About Blue Lake
A serene, hidden turquoise gem located at an altitude of 4,150 meters (13,615 feet) in the Upper Manang Valley. It offers a peaceful alternative to more crowded high-altitude lakes in the region.
Fed by glacial meltwater, the lake is known for its intense turquoise-blue color and perfect mirror-like reflections of the Annapurna range (II, III, IV) and Gangapurna. The trail passes through traditional Tibetan-influenced villages like Bhraka (Braga) and Ngawal, featuring ancient monasteries and prayer flags. It is significantly more accessible than the famous Tilicho Lake, making it ideal for moderate trekkers.
